hello.

My name is Jason Geis and I am a (award winning) creative director. I have 20+ years in the business and in that time I have pretty much seen it all. A lot of agencies put a premium on above the line or below the line creatives - I firmly believe there is no line - just the bottom line. I like approaching every project like it's the most important and exciting thing the client is working on. I put as much enthusiasm into a television commercial as I do a shelf talker. For me, it's not the actual piece, but the excitement of solving a problem.

I have worked on some of the best and biggest brands in the world - in almost every category: Kraft, Nabisco, Nestle, ConAgra Foods, Microsoft, Holiday Inn, United States Postal Service, Discover Card, SCJ, Kmart, Kellogg's, Daisy, P&G, Merrell, Bausch, Splenda - and at least half of those I brought into the agency in new business wins and won awards for.

Advertising is not just about the work - it's about the people. I love mentoring. I love helping writers find their voice and art directors find their fonts. I like fostering a positive environment and building teams that work together well. I inspire fierce loyalty. And the work is better for it.

Jason is one of the funniest and most engaging people you will ever meet. He’s also an amazing presenter, and clients love him. But there is a lot more to Jason than just personality and showmanship. He possesses a unique 360 degree understanding of marketing that enables him to lead creative efforts that connect with consumers and help build brands. He understands film and print, shopper and promo, retail and direct, mobile and social. More importantly, he understands how consumers use all of these media, and how to develop creative to break through. There’s no smoke-and-mirrors and no useless rhetoric. Jason is the real deal. To top it all off, he’s a proven leader who can be trusted to get the job done every time. Something I have personally counted on for years!

Jason and I have worked together on several new business pitches and it is always a pleasure to have him as part of the team. He is truly one of my favorite people to work with at our agency.

Jason is very smart and knows advertising well, along with having an intimate knowledge of the retail arena—he instinctually knows what will work and what won’t. He is also uniquely creative, diligent with assignments, hard-working and most of all FUN! His team members enjoy working with him and in turn, they always deliver winning work. Another of his strong points is his presentation style which is simply amazing. He is comfortable and fun when presenting and clients fall in love with him immediately...over the phone or in person, it doesn’t matter, his personality is undeniable!
— Jamie McGarry - Chief Growth Officer, HAVAS
Jason gets things done with passion & purpose. He’s a great creative asset because he understands everything from Shopper Marketing to Retail to classic brand building - and can effortlessly move between these disciplines. He’s also a genuinely nice guy and a pleasure to work with.
— Rob Sherlock - Former Chief Creative Officer, FCB
I’ve always been impressed with Jason’s ability to deliver big ideas that are not only breakthrough, but on strategy. As one of the lead creative directors on the DraftFCB-Kmart account, Jason & I partnered together on multiple creative challenges across a business that was thirsting for breakthrough ideas. Jason brings an unmatched passion and creativity to his craft, coupled with an entrepreneurial-drive & ability to bring to life creative in a simple, digestible way that inspires trust and confidence. I highly recommend Jason.
— Jeff Fagel - CMO Epsilon, Former Brand Director of Kmart

On top of all this, I'm an accomplished Chicago improv actor. I am currently the Artistic Director of ComedySportz Chicago, one of the oldest comedy theaters in Chicago. In my tenure as Artistic Director, I am proud to have brought Diversity & Inclusion programs into the theater. I was able to bring on a Director of D&I, add Pride programming to our calendar, diversify our talent, and create unique programming around different communities within the theater. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I dug in and created a whole new way to do improv and pioneered our partnership with Twitch, not only keeping the theater alive, but relevant. Prior to ComedySportz, I was the Artistic Director of the pH Comedy Theater for 17 years, a non-profit theater that went from renting rooms in a bar, to having a fully built-out theater in Andersonville. Needless to say, I hustle.

I like laughter. I like laughter for everyone. I like lightening the mood. I also have zero fear in front of clients and have a reputation for being a go to guy for new business, teaching, tricky clients, and generally making presentations unique and fun.

I like what I do. And I’ll like you. Probably. ;)
